HVAC Pump Solutions
Choose the pump for the circuit, not just the building. Separate heating-water circulation, hot-water return, make-up water and pressure boosting before comparing series.

Recommended Series by HVAC Scenario
Start from the system need, then choose the series that fits the circulation, return-water or pressure requirement.
Heating-water circulation
Move water around a compatible heating circuit; calculate losses along the critical flow path.
AHBP offers permanent magnet variable-speed circulation. GPD is listed in the master catalog as a three-speed circulator. Check the exact curve, materials and control arrangement.
Hot-water return
Review return-line flow, temperature and wetted-material requirements.
The master catalog places PH in hot-water circulation. Confirm the selected model, wetted materials and applicable drinking-water requirements before specification.
Make-up water transfer
Assess the source pressure, receiving-system pressure and required make-up flow.
A candidate for compatible clean-water transfer or light boosting. Check suction conditions, discharge pressure and the exact pump curve.
Transfer and pressure boosting
Use elevation and pressure differences when water moves between separate boundaries. In a filled closed loop, building height is not added to pump differential head.
Multistage candidates for transfer or boosting duties. Check the operating point and, for F-MHI, the supplied controller and pressure setting.
HVAC Pump Series
Each series covers a different part of the HVAC water system, from circulation to make-up water and pressure boosting.
AHBP Series
GPD Series
PH Series
PUN Series
MHI / F-MHI Series
Define the duty before choosing a series
A circulation pump overcomes the pressure losses in the operating loop. A make-up or transfer pump may also have to overcome a level or pressure difference between its source and destination. Keep pump differential head separate from the system’s fill pressure and maximum working pressure.
Read how static head differs in open and closed systems before adding building height to a pump schedule. For a variable-flow circuit, review control mode, sensor position and minimum-flow requirements before specifying the drive.
Send these details for a useful pump shortlist
- System function: closed-loop circulation, hot-water return, transfer or make-up.
- Required flow and pump differential head, including equipment and valve losses.
- Liquid, operating temperature and any water-treatment additives.
- System working pressure, inlet conditions, connections and installation space.
- Electrical supply and the required control mode or interface.
- Quantity, destination market and required documents.
For replacement work, include the existing nameplate, pump curve and a simple piping sketch. A matching connection size alone does not establish hydraulic or material compatibility.
